I know this blog focuses on recipes for humans, but we can't forget our other non-human family members. For all the dog lovers out there I thought I would come up with some recipes that we can try and it's a good way to help save money on dog food.
While feeding your dog table scraps is not recommended as a regular practice, there are a few dog-friendly human foods that can be safely incorporated into your dog's diet. Here are three simple dog-friendly recipes you can make from table scraps.

1. Sweet Potato and Chicken Mash
• Cooked chicken breast, shredded
• Sweet potato, cooked and mashed
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken and mashed sweet potato.
2. Drizzle olive oil over the mixture and stir to combine.
3. Serve immediately.
2. Turkey and Green Bean Stew
• Cooked turkey, shredded
• Green beans, cooked and chopped
• Brown rice, cooked
• 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded turkey, chopped green beans, and cooked brown rice.
2. Drizzle coconut oil over the mixture and stir to combine.
3. Serve immediately.
3. Peanut Butter and Banana Frozen Treats
• 1 ripe banana, mashed
• 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix together the mashed banana, peanut butter, and Greek yogurt until smooth.
2. Spoon the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.
3. Freeze the treats for at least 3 hours, or until solid.
4. Pop out the treats from the ice cube trays or silicone molds and serve immediately.
